The Transforming Teacher

A Life Long Learners’ Blog

My title The Transforming Teacher was a very intentional choice. My life since starting this blog has changed so dramatically and I’m forever grateful to be where I am.

Ironically, I just received a notification of my 2 year anniversary with this blog. I thought it was important to write about the transformations I’ve endured since starting here.

I’ve started to post more and more and get myself out there a bit more. I’ve worked so hard to transform myself to a healthier me and I’m excited to share my progress and updates!

I have officially transformed into an author. This is one of the most important transformations for me. I published Walking Wednesday

And I couldn’t be more proud. Walking Wednesday means a lot to me and it marks significant chapters in my life.

  1. The start of me taking my mental health seriously.
  2. The end of my time as an educator and employee of Head Start.

This transformation has started a new “chapter” 😉 in my life and I’m excited for the new opportunities. This week will be the first time I go into a classroom not as an “official” educator… I will always be an advocate, an educator, a life long learner but this is the first time I will be a volunteer. Another official transformation I guess! I have transformed to a volunteer! I’ll be sure to check in once the experience is over!

I transformed into an artist. I have found that a creative outlet is so helpful to me. I paint, I write, I read… and each time I engage in one of these (or others) I feel the positive effects it has on me. I have hopes and goals to combine these outlets to create another book and I’m so excited this transformation has helped opened new doors and opportunities. I have several ideas for more books to come. I am almost finished with my second! I can’t wait to keep moving forward. Which I hope will open even more doors. ✌️

Volunteer on!
