The Transforming Teacher

A Life Long Learners’ Blog

How often do you say “no” to things that would interfere with your goals?

Saying “NO” is ok, acceptable final even. Learning to say no, mean it and follow through changed my life.

I think it’s less important to worry about saying no than it is to worry about what you want and need out of the situation. Be more aware of and in tune with your feelings and needs and follow that.

With children it is important to say yes often. Give them the power to choose explore and learn. But it is also important to say no when no is necessary. Teach them the boundaries. But also teach the children to set boundaries as well.

Protect yourself. But also be open to change. Be open to exploring. Be open to trying something new.

I learned to say no and several doors are opening. Now I am learning to say yes to new experiences and opportunities. Learning to say no helped give me new opportunities to say yes. 🙌 🥲🥹
