How do you balance work and home life?

Oh the beauty of balance. It seems with “balance” we can withstand anything. Balance is made up of so many components but all are integral to keeping it in tact.

Intention- Act say and do with intention. Intention to promote growth understanding and connection.

Boundaries- Set boundaries that prioritize your health; physical, emotional and mental. Practice and follow the boundaries you set. Respect the boundaries of yours and others.

Mindset- Work is not home. Home is not work. Leave work at work and home at home. This one is hard because often times friendships celebrations and hardships can blur lines and boundaries. It is important to maintain the correct mindset for the environment you surround yourself with. Know where you are and how to hold yourself. Allow yourself time to vent, cry, cheer, and feel in the appropriate space. Be sure to have a clear transition plan that you consistently implement as you go from one mindset to the other.

Put yourself first- Always remember that you come first. Find time throughout the day to celebrate you. Say affirmations, go for a walk, meditate, indulge in a treat, read the extra page or stay in the bubble bath a little longer. Prioritize you and your well being. Yes work is important but YOU are MORE important.
