As an educator it’s interesting to consider myself the learner. But in reality the children teach the teacher just as much as the teacher teaches the children. Give that a thought… what have you learned from children?

Stepping away from the classroom has given me the unique opportunity to learn from different daily experiences, conversations and happenings. Just yesterday I learned to cook a new soup, I learned a new technique to swing my golf club and a new way to think about competition.

Today, I sit here this morning watching a YouTube video on Quantum Physics?!?

Every interaction is an opportunity to learn something new. Keep your mind and heart open. Be accepting to “new” or “different.” Be willing to truly listen.
