Laughing.
A core memory of my childhood was laughing. Tickles. Jokes. Movie quotes. Blunt random quotes stated by Grandma or my younger brother.
Laughing to keep my mind busy.
Laughing to keep everyone else busy..
I was an energetic kid. I annoyed others often. With questions, jokes stunts… I tried to keep people laughing to get the ‘positive’ attention. The wanted attention that came through smiles giggles and full blown ‘laughing’ fits.
Laughing is it a sign of connection? A component of a relationship? A necessity for a more full and content life?
Laughing- a physical response often reflecting joy, humor and social connection. It fuels the soul and calms the mind. But does it always? I laugh now to convey these true emotions but do we always? How can we tell?
